Hello Evelyn,

We have 21 members, and I will be inducting 2 new members probably next month.  Like your club, we meet weekly on Monday evenings, and usually have a guest speaker each week, along with guests from other nearby clubs. Tonight we are expecting an attendance of 27.  We also some weeks have guests from abroad who are visiting the UK and come to our Club meeting if they are passing through Heathrow, or staying in a hotel nearby.

Hounslow has changed considerably since 1973 as you might expect, now very multi-cultural, in someway due to its proximity to Heathrow Airport just down the road. Many multi-national high-tech companies have moved into large offices along the Great West Road. So far in my Presidential year, we have raised £4,000 for charitable causes - nearly £2,000 for my supported charity (the Alzheimer's Society), and over £2,000 for local charitable organisations which we are distributing in our Charity evening early in April.

If you ever do come back to the UK and are near us, please do come and see us.  At our meeting tonight, I will give a toast to you and your Club.

With best wishes,

Haydn Davies
(President of Hounslow Rotary Club).
